The Heartsongs Luncheon Fund was established in 2001 as a tribute to Mattie J.T. Stepanek, a child poet, peacemaker, and an inspiration to us all. Since its founding, the Heartsongs Luncheon Fund has raised nearly $250,000 to purchase critical, life-saving equipment desperately needed by the Hospital's Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units as well as numerous other comfort items to help patients and their families. Such equipment includes an ECMO Pump (heart & lung bypass machine) as well as two state of the art incubators or isolettes used to care for the hospital's smallest and most fragile infant patients. Monies raised from our 6^th Anniversary event will go to fulfilling Mattie’s Wish List, which provides the Critical Care Units with much needed and desired comforts. Our goal is to make the children and their families as comfortable as possible in their time of crisis and need. We need your help to make Mattie’s dreams a reality.

We have honored many of the NICU and PICU nurses, as they are truly unsung heroes, as well as others in our community that deserve recognition for their contributions towards making a difference in the lives of our children.
